Chocolate Covered Strawberry Smoothie

7 ingredients · 5 minutes· 1 serving

Looking for a tasty & creamy smoothie? Need more fiber & calcium in your diet? Are you avoiding dairy? Or maybe you don’t like banana in your smoothies? Then this Chocolate Covered Strawberry Smoothie is for you!

What makes this so creamy?

-Frozen cauliflower: A detoxification & hormonal balance superstar.

-Tahini: Rich in calcium, a mineral that becomes even more important through menopause. As our estrogen drops we are at higher risk for bone loss & osteoporosis.

-Chia seeds: Very rich in fiber, helping to keep us regular!

Directions

  1. Add the milk to a blender, followed by the protein powder, cacao & chia seeds.

  2. Then add the cauliflower & strawberries, followed by the tahini.

  3. Blend until smooth & enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen cauliflower

  • ½ cup frozen strawberries

  • 1 ½ cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder, see Notes

  • 2 tbsp cacao powder

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp tahini

Notes

No Almond Milk? - Use any unsweetened non-dairy milk. I will sometimes use 3/4 cup of full-fat coconut milk with 3/4 of filtered water.

Cauliflower Doesn’t Agree With You? - Swap for frozen zucchini or banana.

Protein Powder - If you cannot do dairy, I like Designs for Health Paleo Protein or ATP Labs Supreme Beef Protein. If you can do whey isolate, Schinoussa is my favourite!
