Ideally, we meet virtually via Zoom. This way I can see you no matter where you are located. Be assured of the same high quality coaching experience via virtual consultations as you would get in-person, but in the comfort of your home or office. We can also meet via Skype or phone if it’s more convenient. In-person consultations are also available if you are located in the Ottawa Valley area.

For the weekly check-ins, you will complete a quick questionnaire. For the food diary review, you will have provided me with your login information for Cronometer, or if you’re using a food journal, I will ask you to send me the journal along with your questionnaire. I will provide any tips, adjustments and/or answers via email if we do not have a session that week.
In addition to our meetings and check-ins, I also provide clients support in between appointments (to answer any questions that come up along the way) via email or text. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible, but please allow me 24 hours to respond.

Before our first session (the Assessment), I will provide you with an intake form and ask that you complete it at least 48 hours before our meeting. This gives me time to go through it and get to know you a little bit before we meet for the assessment. During our hour-long session, I work with you to get clear on what health and wellness means to you and we’ll discuss your current eating and lifestyle habits, short-term and long-term goals, what’s worked for you in the past, what hasn’t worked etc. This will allow me to get to know you, the ins-and-outs of your daily life and your history, and it will provide with me the information I need to create an action plan that will fit you, your needs, your likes/dislikes, your lifestyle, and your goals.
Prior to our second session (the Action Plan session), I’ll send the Action Plan to review. During the 45-minute Action Plan session, we’ll go through the plan and discuss your questions and concerns including potential roadblocks. After our session, I will make any adjustments needed and send you the final Action Plan. The plan will entail small and actionable steps, making the work we do together manageable and sustainable. The plan will also include the focus for our next session.
During the 45-minute follow-up sessions, we will discuss how the previous week(s) went, your wins, roadblocks you encountered and any new questions or goals that have come up for you. We’ll also go through your food diary review. By keeping our follow-up sessions ideally within 2 weeks of our last meeting, it’ll help to maintain accountability and solid progress towards your goals. I will provide you with a summary of our session after each follow-up which will include any adjustments to the original plan, new actionable steps, and the focus for the next session.

It depends on which company you use! If your plan includes ‘Nutritionist’ then my services are likely covered but please check with your insurance company or employer to confirm. I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN), and insurance receipts are provided for my services.
-
A Registered Holistic Nutritionist has earned a diploma from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. Practitioners must adhere to a Code of Ethics and Scope of Practice, remain in good standing with CSNNAA and carry liability insurance. Registered Dieticians are government regulated, having obtained a university degree with clinical training. Dieticians follow diet protocols recommended by their governing body, while RHNs use a personalized and holistic approach to improve overall health, wellness and encourage disease prevention. With whole foods at the core, recommendations from an RHN can also include supplements and lifestyle modifications.

No, I work with all people, regardless of gender identity, with all kinds of health concerns and goals. I do specialise in weight loss and IBS for women because those are the issues I’ve predominantly struggled with in my own health journey. I also have firsthand experience with hormonal concerns, including hypothyroidism, PMS and long-term birth control use, as well as acne and eczema. I am trained as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and have spent over a decade reading, listening and learning about general health and wellness. Through this education, I can also help to support hormonal imbalance, high cholesterol and blood pressure, blood sugar imbalances, allergies, mood imbalances and disorders, fatigue, skin ailments, digestive complaints/diseases, sleep issues and more. Please reach out for a free consultation or through my contact page if you’d like to chat more about your personal concerns and we can figure out if we’d be a good fit! :)

Yes. There is a 48-hour cancellation policy for appointments. If less than 48-hour notice is given, the session will be charged in full. I also understand that life happens, and I may waive the fee for extenuating circumstances.
