Lazy Girl Protein Hot Chocolate
6 ingredients · 30 minutes · 1-8 servings
I am now in my 40s and my skin is looser. Research has shown that consuming 2.5 to 5g of collagen hydrolysate daily for 8 weeks can improve skin elasticity, moisture and roughness. Easy, right? So I am making a conscious effort to have collagen daily, and this is one of my favourite ways to do it! It takes less than 2 minutes to make and satisfies my cravings for chocolate, dessert and something comforting!
And unlike conventional hot chocolate mixes or chocolate bars, this is supporting my skin, a healthy weight, my blood sugar and my health.
Directions for Protein Hot Chocolate
Put a little hot water in a mug, add the collagen & cacao and mix well.
Top with the remaining hot water and add the stevia and milk to taste. Enjoy!
Ingredients
For the tea:
2 tbsp unsweetened cacao or quality cocoa powder
1 scoop/tbsp collagen hydrolysate
1 tbsp full-fat coconut milk or cream
1 cup boiling water
Pinch of stevia, to taste
Notes
Make it creamier - Swap the water for almond milk or coconut milk.
Don’t like Stevia? - Swap the stevia for a little maple syrup or honey.
