Fennel Gin Smash

8 ingredients · 2 minutes ·2 servings

This cocktail is perfect for a hot summer evening or cold winter weekend – it’s warm, sweet & spicy but also fresh. This drink is very low in sugar, plus fennel helps to relieve intestinal gas & cramping making this cocktail a great choice for your weekend indulgence! To make this an amazing mocktail, simply swap out the gin for Fluere Original Non-Alcoholic Distilled Spirit (it’s shockingly similar to gin & a Canadian company!).

Directions

  1. Combine the fennel & gin in a cocktail shaker & muddle until broken up, about 20 seconds.

  2. Add the juices, stevia or honey & pinch of salt to the shaker & fill with ice. Shake until well chilled, about 15 seconds.

  3. Strain evenly into 2 ice-filled Old-Fashioned or rocks glasses, and top each one with 1 1/2 ounces of sparkling water. Garnish with a fennel frond & freshly grated nutmeg. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces Gin or Fluere Non-Alcoholic Distilled Spirit (Boodles is a great affordable option for gin)

  • 1/4 tsp stevia (to taste) or 1/2 tsp honey
